Pay Fong High School recently received an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) through a meaningful contribution from the Lions Club of Tanjung Bidara, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating a safer and more prepared learning environment.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy State Commander of Melaka, St. John Ambulance Malaysia, together with Mdm Kristil, who conducted an interactive AED and CPR training session for students and staff. During the session, participants were guided through each step of responding to a sudden cardiac arrest emergency, including recognizing the signs, performing CPR, and operating an AED correctly.
The hands-on training provided participants with valuable life-saving skills and increased their confidence in responding quickly and effectively during emergencies. Clear demonstrations and practical exercises ensured that attendees gained a better understanding of emergency response procedures.
With the installation of the AED and the successful completion of the training session, the school community is now better equipped to handle medical emergencies, contributing to a safer, more resilient, and emergency-ready school environment.
This initiative reflects the importance of community collaboration in promoting public safety and empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to save lives.
